How to listen to Ambisonic Spatial Audio
- You must have an iPhone or iPad running 15.1, an apple silicone Mac running 12.4, or an Apple TV 4K with the latest update.
- You must have AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max.
On iPhone/iPad:
Hearing this episode with spatial audio and head tracking works with Safari or the Patreon app for iOS/iPadOS. Put your headphones on to connect to your device, play the episode, swipe down to the control center, long press the volume slider, and tap on head tracking.
On Mac:
Open Safari, put your headphones on to connect to your Mac, play the episode, select your AirPods in the status bar and select head tracking.
You will now be able to hear spatial audio move dynamically around as you move your head left to right, up and down.
